On 8/5/22, SCCL residents received an update on the SCCL Community Association lawsuit against Pulte, the developer of the community. The lawsuit alleges construction defects in Common areas built by the developer and its representatives. Referencing a mediation session held on 8/1/22, the Board of Directors shared the following information:
By the end of the day,
there were a lot of speeches and posturing, and Pulte finally submitted a
much less than reasonable offer, which we promptly rejected.
While Pulte may come back and request another mediation session, at this point, we are headed to a jury trial in Lancaster. The Court has advised the parties to be ready for trial as early as February 2023.
